Step 1- See a dietitian

After diagnosis,  ask your GP or Consultant to refer you to a registered dietitian.

A dietitian will provide you with practical advice on how to follow a gluten-free diet and introduce you to those staple gluten-free foods you can obtain on prescription.  They will assess  your nutritional requirements and help you calculate how to use your monthly prescription allowance.

To provide your dietitian with an indication of the types of foods you regularly eat,  complete this Food Diary for your dietitian to review with you at your appointment.
